This is the newest product from lenovo and looks like they may changed the dvd rom drive manufacture company.This is worst case scenario .This ideapad y550 comes with Intel core 2 Duo processor (T6500) 2.1 0GHZ 800 mhz with 2mb cache.this new laptop comes with loaded with genuine windows vista home premium edition.

This laptop is good for gamers and graphic designers as it comes with NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M 512MB which gives faster performance.Comparing to Ram it comes with 4gb PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz.this is latest technology for Ram.So far lenovo might made a new optical drive but if it is matshita company then you shouldnt buy lenovo since many of us faced the problem from lenovo.this new optical device comes with dual layer recordable this means you can record once both sides top and bottom.

Storing data is important for everyone like playing games watching movies while romaing etc it is good that this laptop comes with 320 Gb hard drive.for wireless it comes with bluetooth 2.1 version + EDR for fast transfering files and recieving .Any one can enjoy with this bluetooth version.It has multi memory card reader which means you can insert any memory card into your laptop to read or write data.

bios dont detect hard drive

Old mother boards have many problems and this is one of the related problem to my collegue.The pc shows pri slave no installed.I tried several ways to connect remove etc but finally i came to know that the jumper of hard drive was missing.I placed a jumper and the hard drive was showing in bios.

however most in cases if the hard drive is defective or a new one or might formatted on 98 version and fixed to someother version it shows not installed in bios.so i refer to check before repairing .

i am posting images because most of them dont know what is jumper.I too even thought that the mother board jumper instead of hard drive jumper.

If you are facing the poblem from bios not detecting then first check jumper and then th ribbon of hard drive if both were are good then chech the mother board with another hard drive.so this steps will findout whats the problem.even most motherboards dont detect hard drives properly.some motherboards needs to enter values in bios so you should copy fro hdd label and type them in bios user settings.

Hp G60t series comes with loaded Genuine windows vista basic or premium 32 bit or 64 bit and my recommendations is 64 bit as this is the latest computer technology.However many wants to use xp but you will face the problems of battery which will discharge battery very fast on XP.
HP G60t is powered by Intel Pentium processor T4200 2.0 GHz,1MB L2 cache,800MHz FSB.There are four choices so you may choose the processor for your needs since many wants high speed for gaming and use other programs.My recommendations is Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P8700 (2.53 GHz, 3 MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB) since this very good and speed for computing.The laptop comes with 1 GB DDR2 ram memory card but there is a free upgrade to 4GB memory and the expandable memory limit is 4GB.once you upgraded to 4 GB then you will never need to upgrade again.
For storing data,videos,songs the laptop comes with 160GB hard drive .There is a free upgrade upto 500 GB hard drive that can store more videos and songs etc and this hard drives runs at a speed of 5400 RPM.For gaming and graphics Hp G60 t series comes with Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD and it is fast for playing games and most games are compatible with this graphic card and if you are looking for a gaming laptop then please look for higher graphic cards or may choose another laptop since 4 gB ram is not enough for many games and you may need even 8 GB ram to play games.
