How To Reduce Video size in Windows Movie Maker

Digital videos are more exciting in these days with mobile phones, Tablets and much more, but when it comes for the storage these devices having only less space. We can increase memory cards, but that we need to replace or have to carry in external pocket.

Most Tablet users loves to watch movies while they are on traveling. We can make videos in short size by using Windows moviemaker. We can also able to cut the movie into clips or short movie in different formats as long as windows moviemaker provides. Please follow the steps below in learning for Reduce video size in Windows MovieMaker.

1.Open Windows Movie Maker

2. Once the Program is launched, see at the left sidebar section and click the import video. If you won’t see this thing then click the Tasks tab at the top of tab section.

3. Importing Video into Windows Movie Maker

Once you clicked the link for importing Video, it will ask to browse the location where the video is located. Select the video that you want to reduce the size.  Once you selected the video click Ok or press enter and the video will be imported into Windows MovieMaker.

4.Place the Video into Timeline

The Video will be in collections box just above image, drag it to the bottom section, so that it will be the video to REDUCE in size.

5. Once the video is in Timeline click save to my computer from the Finish Movie section.

6. Saving the video in desired SIZE

Once you clicked save video it will bring to you, where the video should be saved. Select the location then click the next button. At this last stage select the option BEST FIT TO THE SIZE and then specify the size of the video.

Click finish at the bottom of the tab and it is over.

  2. I used only for images to video conversion as it is helpful for one of my travel blog, anyway I will try this time to see if any affects on it. Once I did a video that was done in Muvee software and it is more than 150 MB, but using the above solution made me into less than 10MB.
    The video was exactly as the original was made, but this was too from images to video conversion.
