G12 has 10 Megapixel camera with 7 inch charge type coupled device. The device had total 10.4 mega-pixels which can capture a bright picture anywhere.

The Picture is mainly depends on LENS which Canon g12 has 30.5mm and 6.1 (w). It has 4 X digital zoom for digital photographs with TTL Auto focus. Viewing what we are shooting the pictures are on 2.8 inches TFT color LCD. This LCD monitor has 461,000 pixels which can give in real mode colors of snapshot image. Another thing is White balance control which can prevent from light, Fluorescent lights, underwater with many more things to avoid. This LCD can show approximately 100%. There is no exposure control method in this camera model, but with AE lock.

The camera is built in flash with auto on and synchronization. Recycling time for battery is 10 sec or less since it runs on 7.5v battery. Flash can explore at +/-2 stops and 1/3 increments. Shooting modes can be used for better capturing photos. There are more types of shooting modes in this camera portrait, Landscape, sports and much more. While shooting photos one can adjust contrast, brightness, color, saturation. It is operated under self timer by delaying 10 to 15 seconds.

Continuous shooting can be done, but remember flash should not bring fire automatically. Images are always saved in the format of jpeg in memory card. If the memory card is in full you can replace with a new or delete old pictures. In these days, memory cards are cheaper so you can put one more in your pocket. Canon cameras are compatible with USB 2.0 enabled devices for better saving or editing pictures. Camera can be used as Web-camera too through video analog output cable. There is a mic which can store your voice in the format of stereo.

Lcd can provide up-to 370 shots approximately when it is on by switching off can take up-to 1000 photos. I recommend to carry battery charger to recharge the camera battery so it is good to see what you are capturing or captured the image.

Dimensions of Canon g12 camera is 112.1 x 76.2 x 48.3mm with a weight of 350 grams. Manual book comes with 26 languages for proving to all countries. Canon G12 is also CIPA compliant.
